The City of Red Oak Public Works Department, in partnership with CWD, is hosting its annual Trash Bash on October 11 from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Oaks Church, 777 South I-35, according to the city.
The event is for Red Oak residents only. Participants must show proof of residency and should bring a driver’s license and a water or utility bill.
The city said it will accept bulk trash items such as household appliances, furniture and mattresses, along with brush, automotive batteries and electronic waste. Tires from passenger vehicles, SUVs, lawnmowers, tractors and four-wheelers are eligible, but rims will not be accepted. Paper shredding is also available. The city asks that staples, paper clips and rubber bands be removed first.
Details are on the City of Red Oak’s website.
