Farm Heritage Day will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, at the Ellis County Rural Heritage Farm, 130 Cunningham Meadows Road in Waxahachie, according to the Waxahachie Sun.
The community is invited to bring family and children. The afternoon will include farm animals, farm vendors, hayrides and outdoor games. Living-history activities will focus on early rural farm life. The 4-H and Girl Scouts will host hands-on activities for kids and families.
Displays will feature late 19th century, early 20th century and modern farm equipment. Visitors will also have the chance to try hand corn shelling. Further details are in the Waxahachie Sun’s report.
