Ellis County has issued a notice that a quorum of the County Commissioners Court may be present at visitation and funeral services for County Treasurer Cheryl Chambers.
Visitation is set for Sunday, August 23, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Wayne-Boze Funeral Home, 1826 US-287 Business in Waxahachie. Funeral services follow Monday, August 24, from 10 a.m. to noon at Waxahachie Bible Church, 621 N. Grand Ave. in Waxahachie.
According to Ellis County, the gathering is not an official meeting of the Commissioners Court, and the court will not deliberate or act on any county business there.
